Welcome to GEMS
Welcome to the website for the Government Employees Medical Scheme (GEMS), a registered medical scheme specifically for public service employees. GEMS is designed to meet the varying healthcare needs of teachers, nurses, doctors and the many other individuals in public service. With a choice of 5 benefit options, GEMS is sure to have a solution that suits you and your family! Now you can access your own medical information on-line Registered GEMS members are now able to view their medical information on-line, once they have created a Personal Identification Number (PIN) for themselves. Click here to register your PIN right now, or read on to learn what the advantages will be… Once you have a registered PIN, you are given access to your own information, such as the details of all claims submitted to GEMS, payment dates and amounts left under each benefit category. This allows you to manage your own affairs better, and reduces the need for you to call the call centre. You can also profile your communication needs, so that you can set up SMS services to alert you of changes in your member information, or of claims being paid. This website summarises various aspects of GEMS. It is for quick reference purposes only and does not replace the rules of the Scheme. In the event of a dispute, the registered rules will take precedence.
