Dispute Committee

The Rules of the Scheme give GEMS members, healthcare providers and third parties the opportunity to lodge complaints with the Scheme.  If a complainant is not satisfied with the response, and if all efforts to resolve the issue with the Scheme have failed, the complaint can be escalated to the Scheme’s Dispute Committee for resolution.  The Dispute Committee is an independent committee which adjudicates disputes between the Scheme and complainants. The decision by the Dispute Committee is final and binding on the Scheme.
