INVITATION TO BID


GEMS requires the services of a suitably qualified and experienced service provider for the following service:

Required service Appointment of a service provider to provide Procurement Consultant Services to the Government Employees Medical Scheme for a period of one (1) year commencing 01 March 2021, which contract may be annually renewable for a maximum of two (2) more years
Reference number GEMS/ProcurementConsultant/2020/ CON017 Please quote the applicable reference number in all correspondence. Correspondence without a reference number will not be attended to.
Pre-qualification criterion GEMS will only consider bids from bidders who have at least a proven 51% Black ownership in terms of B-BBEE. 
Compulsory briefing session for this requirement Date: 24 November 2020
Time: 13h00 to 14h00
Online via Webex  Attendees joining the session more than 15 minutes after the starting time noted i.e. after 13h15 will be deemed not to have attended the briefing session.
Prospective service providers are required to notify Rosetta Beya at the respective email address indicated below for this requirement, before 10h00 on 20 November 2020 whether they will attend the briefing session. Bidders will be provided with a link to connect and join the session on confirmation of attendance.  Attendees must have their own copies of the bid document in the briefing session.

Appointment of a service provider to provide Asset Management Services (Absolute Return Portfolio) for GEMS for a period of one (1) year which contract can be renewable for a maximum of four (4) years more years.

Pre-qualification criteria:

Bidders will be required to commit to provide skills development and business support to a small, micro or medium enterprise that is an asset/investment management organisation that is at least 51% Black Owned with quarterly monitoring against an execution plan. Bidders must also comply with further options and conditions detailed in the bid document.
