The position of Events Coordinator is vacant. The Events Coordinator will report directly to the Specialist: Client Liaison Office and forms part of the Member Service and Experience Division. The position is based at GEMS Head Office in Pretoria.The remuneration package for this position is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
The Events Coordinator will be required to provide support to the Specialist: Client Liaison Office through the identification of event request received from various departments and the implementation of the following Key Performance Areas (KPAs):
- Monitor and manage the event requests received from stakeholders
- Redirect events to the relevant provincial CLO Office
- Procure HWSS in line with Scheme policies and processes
- Confirm the support from the HWSS agency and provincial CLO office
- Accept and track event requests
- Create reports from various platforms
- Capture events on the various Scheme platforms
- Monitor, track and evaluate and quality assure the HWSS events processes and execution
- Ensure timelines are adhered to by all stakeholders and monitor turnaround times and compliance
- Record, report and monitor transgressions
- Communicate changes with all stakeholders and update reporting templates
- Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
- Ensure adherence, monitoring and compliance of all stakeholders
- Manage reporting and scheme data sharing within agreed timelines
- Ensure quality and process management of all stakeholders to ensure efficiency in the handling, response and execution of all HWSS events.
- Maintain positive Scheme, member, and stakeholder relations
- Compilation of reports in line with Scheme requirements
- Monitor the quality of servicing post the event, identify training gaps and recommend interventions
- Record, resolve (or escalate) and monitor all escalations
- Manage the Post Event Reporting Process end-to-end
- Create surveys
- Stakeholder Management
- Telephone queries
Minimum requirements are:
- NQF Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
- 2 years events coordination experience.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Report writing skills.
- Excellent administrative and skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent Time Management skills.
- Customer relationship management experience.
- Analytical thinking and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Work well in a team and have good interpersonal skills

The ICT Integration Specialist will be required to participate in the planning, coordination, and solution development and implementation activities related to the integration of applications and technologies within the organizations application integration environment. Proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, proficiency in programming languages and data structures, and knowledge of integration best practices are critical to successful performance in this role and providing support to the SM: Applications Development through the following KPA’s:

- Develop and maintain services used in application integrations.
- Design integration solutions and document the design in accordance with best practices.
- Work with development teams to architect, design, build, and implement application integrations.
- Develop and maintain data integration components such as SQL queries, stored procedures, data extraction and cleansing, and integration with system front end components.
- Write PL-SQL code to retrieve appropriate data as derived from requirements.
- Build reports and/or data extracts to support business analysis.
- Support development on resolving system defects, acting as liaison in developing solutions.
- Coordinate directly with business analyst to best understand and analyze application integration business specifications.
- Provide technical assistance to troubleshoot and resolve integration errors.
- Assist application software developers and engineers in development of Application Program Interface (APIs) to interact with the application integration environment
- Design, develop, and deploy solutions within the organization’s architectural principles, policies, and guidelines
- Continually develop skills in the integration technologies in place in the AI environment, as well as staying informed on new developments in integration technology.
- Implement audit, logging, and monitoring solutions to provide proactive operational support in the AI environment.
Qualification requirements are:
- National diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information technology, information systems or relevant degree
- Application Integration Certification is must.
- Experience in Application Integration role is a must.
- Full systems development life cycle experience.
- Minimum of 8 years relevant work experience in Application Architect.
- Certification in Application Integration is a must.
- Systems Development Lifecycle Management is essential. Project Management is an advantage.
- Knowledge of HealthCare Solution is an advantage.
- Competency with XML constructs and schemas.
- Technically fluent in programming languages, including .Net environment/ platform
