Appointment of a service provider to provide Pharmacy Network Manager Services to GEMS for a period of one year commencing on 01 January 2022,which contract may be annually renewable for a maximum of four more years

Pre-qualification criterion:

Bidders must commit, over and above all other B-BBEE requirements, to spend at least 30% of its fees paid by GEMS, on B-BBEE subcontracting or forming of JVs that are at least a Level 1 or 2 contributor with at least 51% Black ownership and/or in combination with employing B-BBEE individuals on the project; with further options and conditions detailed in the bid document.  The bidder must also commit to, if successful, recruit more independent B-BBEE Pharmacies into the pharmacy network.

Required service description:

Compulsory briefing session:

Date: 25 May 2021 @ 12h00 to 14h00

Location: Online via Webex  

Attendees joining the session more than 15 minutes after the starting time noted i.e. after 12h15 will be deemed not to have attended the briefing session.

Prospective service providers are required to notify the relevant person at the respective email address indicated below for this requirement, before 10h00 on 21 May 2021 whether they will attend the briefing session. Bidders will be provided with a link to connect and join the session on confirmation of attendance.  Attendees must have their own copies of the bid document in the briefing session.    

Request for and submission of bid:

Bid documentation will only be available electronically in PDF or other format, on request by email, from Monday 10 May 2021 from the following persons:

Appointment of a Panel of service providers to provide Internal Fraud Investigation Services to the Government Employees Medical Scheme for a period of one (1) year commencing 01 March 2022, which contract may be annually renewable for a maximum of two (2) more years

Required service description:

Only bidders with a proven minimum of 51% black ownership will be considered for this bid. The rest of the other B-BBEE requirements will be covered in the bid document.
 

Non-compulsory Briefing Session:

Queries:

Queries received from Monday, 13 December 2021 till Friday 17 December 2021 at 16h30, will be responded to within the indicated timelines. Query consideration will thereafter only resume on Tuesday 04 January 2022.

Appointment of designated service providers to form an efficient Hospital Network for the Government Employees Medical Scheme (GEMS) for a period of one (1) year commencing 01 January 2023, which contract may be annually renewable for a maximum of three (3) more years.

Bid reference: GEMS/HospitalNetwork/2022/Con001

The Scheme will utilise a range of clear and objective criteria including cost-effectiveness and quality of care, in the selection of independent hospitals and hospital groups to participate in the network.

A concise “Request for Proposals” document with a terms of reference will be made available to service providers to clearly articulate GEMS’ intent with the establishment of this network.

Attendees arriving more than 15 minutes after the starting time noted above i.e. after 11h15 will under no circumstances be allowed into the venue and will be deemed not to have attended the briefing session.


Prospective service providers are required to notify Boipelo Sithole by email at Con001.22hospitalnetwork@nexia-sabt.co.za before 10h00 on 17 February 2022 whether they will attend the briefing session. Attendees will be provided with a link to connect and join the session on confirmation of attendance. Attendees must have their own copies of the RFP document in the briefing session.

Request and submission of proposal documents:

RFP documents will only be available electronically in PDF or other format, on request by email, from Monday 14 February 2022 from Boipelo Sithole by email at CON001.22hospitalnetwork@nexia-sabt.co.za

The RFP documents can be requested electronically at any time, but will normally be distributed during office hours which are between 08h00 and 16h30 Mondays to Fridays, excluding public holidays. No hard copy submissions will be considered.
