Compulsory Briefing Session:

Attendees joining the session more than 15 minutes after the starting time noted i.e. after 11h15 will be deemed not to have attended the briefing session.

Prospective service providers are required to notify the relevant person at the respective email address indicated below for this requirement, before 12h00 on 17 September 2024 whether they will attend the briefing session. Bidders will be provided with a link to connect and join the session on confirmation of attendance.  Attendees must have their own copies of the bid document in the briefing session.  

Closing Date: 08 October 2024 Time: 11h00

The time stipulated is in accordance with Telkom time, available by dialling 1026.  Further submission details are contained in the bid document.  Submission will be strictly electronic to the relevant email address.  No late submissions will be considered.

Appointment of a Panel of service providers to provide Internal Fraud Investigation Services to the Government Employees Medical Scheme for a period of one (1) year commencing 01 March 2022, which contract may be annually renewable for a maximum of two (2) more years

Required service description:

Only bidders with a proven minimum of 51% black ownership will be considered for this bid. The rest of the other B-BBEE requirements will be covered in the bid document.
 

Non-compulsory Briefing Session:

Queries received from Monday, 13 December 2021 till Friday 17 December 2021 at 16h30, will be responded to within the indicated timelines. Query consideration will thereafter only resume on Tuesday 04 January 2022.

Appointment of an Independent Panel of Researchers to enhance research and inform work for the Government Medical Scheme (GEMS), as a once-off requirement for a period of three years

Closing Date: 14 June 2024, 00h00

GEMS seeks to appoint an Independent Research Advisory Panel to enhance the capacity of GEMS to carry out, manage, share, and apply research, and support linkages between research, policy, and practice. The major panel contributions include:

  • Identifying and providing inputs to research conducted by GEMS.
  • Work with GEMS to publish research in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Assess the quality of components of output completed at various research stages.
  • Provide skills transfer and guidance to research staff.
  • Provide advisory input according to areas of expertise.

 

Experts must possess at least 5 years of professional experience in their area of specialisation, which may include some of the following:\

 

  • Public Health
  • Healthcare Financing
  • Health Policy
  • Research Ethics
  • Bioethics and Health Law
  • Scientific Writing and Editing
  • Statistics/Biostatistics
  • Clinical trials Research
  • Epidemiology
  • Experience in Grant Applications

  • Research Methodologies
